Enhance your reflexology practice with the integration of essential oils through this comprehensive blended course, which combines online modules, videos, and face-to-face or Zoom tutorials.
This course is designed for qualified reflexologists who wish to confidently integrate essential oils into their practice. You will learn how to incorporate oils effectively into treatments and create a range of therapeutic products—such as anxiety-relief roller balls, sleep-support sprays, calming bath salts, and nourishing face and body creams—to offer clients as part of a personalised and holistic approach (following consultation). Reflexology and the use of essential oils form the perfect partnership, with the properties of the oils complementing treatment outcomes and their aromas promoting immediate relaxation, even before touch.
Learning is delivered in bite-sized modules, allowing you to study at your own pace and revisit materials whenever you need to. You will receive three comprehensive workbooks covering aromatherapy theory, detailed profiles of all essential and carrier oils, and space to create your own personalised guidance notes for use in practice. The syllabus covers all essential oil knowledge outlined in the National Occupational Standards for Aromatherapy, providing a solid foundation for both professional and personal use.

Insurance for the professional use of essential oils in reflexology is available through Alan Boswell, the Association of Reflexologists’ preferred provider, and many other reputable insurers. If you are insured elsewhere, please ensure your policy covers this addition to your practice. (If you are taking the course for personal interest only, insurance is not required.)
Tutorials and Support
Your first tutorial, lasting at least 2.5 hours, focuses on blending and requires completion of the first five modules, receipt of your goody box, and purchase of at least ten essential oils. This session ensures you blend oils and carriers safely and correctly while creating products for your practice. Several students may attend together. Following this, up to six additional tutorials are available to review documentation, case studies, and blending techniques. Unlimited email support is available throughout the course.
Assessment
Assessment consists of:
- Completion of workbooks
- Case studies (six clients receiving three treatments each)
- An essential oils test, including a practical blending component and a multiple-choice section to verify workbook completion
Theory
The course theory is divided into 21 bite-sized modules, each with a short quiz to assess understanding. You will gain in-depth knowledge of 42 essential oils and 19 carrier oils, building a comprehensive foundation to use safely and effectively in practice.
By the end of the course, you will have the confidence and competence to integrate essential oils professionally, providing clients with an enhanced, holistic, and nurturing experience.
Duration
This course must be completed in 12 months.
